Do OpenAI gift cards expire?
OpenAI’s gift card article says the cards do not expire. Once redeemed, the wallet balance also is not described as time-limited on that page. Refunds of purchases that used gift funds return to the wallet, not to cash.
Do not mix this up with gift credits
Gift credit links must be claimed within 30 days or the buyer is refunded. After claim, those credits expire 12 months later. Different product, different clock.
If you want prepaid AI credit with no expiry after purchase, pick a pack product that states that in plain language.
Brass sells prepaid packs of $10 to $250 you can gift by email or as a card you print. Credits never expire. The recipient spends them across Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek. US only, 18 and over; an unclaimed gift returns to you after 90 days.
Still shopping for the holidays? A Brass pack goes by email or as a card you print at home, so it is there the day you give it. Send a pack.
