Can I gift Claude to myself?
Anthropic’s gifting article never says you can or cannot buy a Claude gift for your own account. Gift buying is currently unavailable anyway, so the question is moot until sales resume.
When gifts return, treat self-gifting as unknown until Anthropic support confirms it. The article does say gifts do not stack, Free users cannot buy, and mobile App Store subscribers must wait out their current plan before redeeming.
If you want credit you control
Buy prepaid credit on a product that is meant for self-purchase or gifting, not a subscription gift that may refuse your own email. A pack you open yourself has no redeem window and no surprise renewal.
Brass sells prepaid packs of $10 to $250 you can gift by email or as a card you print. Credits never expire. The recipient spends them across Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek. US only, 18 and over; an unclaimed gift returns to you after 90 days.
Still shopping for the holidays? A Brass pack goes by email or as a card you print at home, so it is there the day you give it. Send a pack.
